Manage Inventory
Learn how to manage product inventory in PlanetShopping, review incoming, committed and available stock, update quantities and manage inventory by location.
Purpose
Use Inventory to review and update stock levels for your products and locations.
Step 1 – Open Inventory
From your Merchant Panel, select Products, then Inventory.
Step 2 – Choose a location
Use the Location selector to view inventory for the location you want to manage.
Step 3 – Find a product
Use Product search to find a product quickly. The inventory list shows Product, SKU, Incoming, Committed and Available stock information.
Incoming shows inventory associated with incoming stock. Committed shows stock committed to orders. Available shows the quantity currently available.
Step 4 – Update available inventory
Use the Available field beside a product to update its available quantity when required.
Step 5 – Configure inventory on a product
From Products → All Product, open the product you want to edit and find the Inventory section.
You can enter a Stock keeping unit (SKU) and Barcode (ISBN). Use Track quantity to control whether PlanetShopping tracks stock for the product.
Use Continue selling when out of stock when you want the product to remain available for sale after its tracked quantity reaches zero.
Step 6 – Save your changes
After changing inventory settings in the product editor, select Update.
Tips & Best Practices
Use consistent SKUs across your catalogue. Keep available quantities accurate. Review incoming and committed stock when checking overall availability. Only use Continue selling when out of stock when you are prepared to accept orders without available stock.

Where do I manage inventory?
