Import Products in Bulk
Learn how to import multiple products into PlanetShopping with a CSV file, use the sample template, upload your catalogue and review imported products.
Purpose
Import multiple products using a CSV file instead of creating each product individually.
Before You Begin
Prepare your product information and keep a backup of your original catalogue data. PlanetShopping provides a sample CSV template showing the required format.
Step 1 – Open the product import
From your Merchant Panel, select Products, then All Product. Select Import.
Step 2 – Download the sample CSV template
In Import products by CSV, select sample CSV template to download an example of the required format.
Use the sample template as your guide when preparing your product data. Keep the required structure intact so PlanetShopping can read the file correctly.
Step 3 – Select your CSV file
Drag your prepared CSV file into the upload area, or select browse to choose the file from your computer.
Step 4 – Upload the file
Once the correct file is selected, select Upload And Continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions that appear after the file is uploaded. Review your product information carefully before completing the import.
Step 5 – Review your products
After completing the import, return to Products → All Product and review the imported products. Check important information such as product names, pricing, inventory and images before making the catalogue available to customers.
Tips & Best Practices
Keep a master copy of your catalogue outside PlanetShopping. Use the sample CSV template as the basis for your import file. Keep product information consistent and review a selection of products after importing.
