Purpose
Your PlanetShopping store is the workspace where your storefront, products, payments, shipping, taxes, orders and customer information come together. This guide covers the basic store information to set up before you begin designing and selling.

Before You Begin
Have your business name, main business address, preferred store name, contact information, operating country or region and default currency ready.
Step 1 – Create a Store
From your PlanetShopping account or Merchant Panel, choose the action used in the current interface to create a new store.
Step 2 – Enter Your Store Name
Enter the name customers should associate with your online store. You can refine branding later in Store Builder, but the store name should be accurate from the start.
Step 3 – Add Business Information
Enter the business and contact details requested by PlanetShopping. Use information that is current and appropriate for store administration.
Step 4 – Review Store Location
Confirm the country or region, address and any location information used by the platform for store configuration, tax settings, shipping or account verification.
Step 5 – Set the Default Currency
Choose the currency your store uses for product prices and checkout if this setting is available during initial setup. Review this carefully before adding a large catalogue.
Step 6 – Review Time Zone and Regional Settings
If PlanetShopping provides time-zone or regional settings, select the values that match your business. These settings can affect reporting, promotions or order timestamps.
Step 7 – Save and Open Your Store
Save the setup and enter the Merchant Panel for the new store. Review the main navigation so you know where Store Builder, Products, Payments, Shipping, Taxes, Orders and other core areas are located.
Get the essential store information correct first, but do not spend too much time trying to perfect every setting before you have added products and tested the storefront. The launch process is intentionally iterative.
Tips & Best Practices
Use a store name that matches your public brand. Double-check country, address and currency. Use a monitored business contact email. Avoid test or placeholder business information in a store you plan to publish.

Can I change my store name later?
Yes. You can refine your public branding as you configure your store. If a specific store setting becomes fixed later, PlanetShopping will show that in the Merchant Panel.
Can I create more than one store?
Phase 1 focuses on one online store. Any additional store or location capabilities depend on the options available in your PlanetShopping account.
Is this the same as setting up my theme?
No. Store creation establishes the business workspace and core settings. Theme setup controls the appearance and layout of the storefront.
