Before You Begin

Before connecting your domain, make sure you have:

  • An active PlanetShopping store
  • A registered domain name
  • Access to your domain registrar (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare)
  • Permission to edit your domain’s DNS records

Step 1 – Open Domain Settings

  1. Log in to your PlanetShopping Merchant Panel.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select Domains.

Here you’ll see your current store URL and any connected domains.

Step 2 – Add Your Domain

Click:

Add Domain

Enter your custom domain, for example:

www.yourstore.com

Click Continue.

PlanetShopping will display the DNS records required for your domain.

Step 3 – Update Your DNS Records

Log in to your domain registrar.

Locate your DNS management screen.

Update the records using the values supplied by PlanetShopping.

These may include:

  • A Record
  • CNAME Record
  • TXT Record (if verification is required)

Important: Use the exact values provided in PlanetShopping.

Step 4 – Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes are not always immediate.

Most domains update within a few hours, but worldwide propagation can take up to 48 hours.

During this time your domain may work intermittently while changes are distributed across the internet.

Step 5 – Verify Your Domain

Return to:

Settings → Domains

Click:

Verify Connection

Once verification is complete your domain will become your store’s primary address.

SSL Certificate

PlanetShopping automatically provisions an SSL certificate for connected domains where supported.

Once active, your website will use HTTPS to provide secure encrypted connections for your customers.
